I thought I should probably do something of a proper update ;)

For those who are interested, I took a couple of piccies of our new place - not everything is in its place yet... for that matter, not everything is here yet, but we're doing ok.

Loungeroom:

'Dining' Room, which will be more computer and display cabinet area:

And kitchen:

Its a nice, fancy little place :D I didn't think to take a picture of the outside until it was dark... anyway, its bottom floor in a security building, and it came complete with alarm, stainless steel dishwasher and stove/oven (*swoons*) and we've got our own little caged car area down stairs.

I'm still not working, much to my dismay... the job I 'had' apparently didn't exist once I made the effort to move here. So, I'm doing the hunting thing. I've got an interview for assistant manager in a big city bookstore tomorrow, and I really hope I get it. Only time will tell, I guess.

It was Miss Bec's 21st on the 13th :D Didn't know many people there, but thats what alcohol and drugs are for :p It was at Seans parents place, so apart from us younger crowd (in the garage, drinking, listening to Bodom and playing pool) all of Bec's other "family" were there. Poor thing was quite embarrassed when it came to cake time haha.
I made her a cake, and gave it to her a few days later...

I know that it looks like a monkey of some sort, but it was supposed to be a blood-splattered fiend skull, complete with "giant spiders preparing to take over". Coolest.Cake.Ever! (or at least would be if it looked the way it was supposed to).

Ian and I will be in the Bay on the weekend for the tourney, not to mention Tony's engagement party (who ever thought, eh?) We'll be heading back here on Sunday, which just so happens to be our one year anniversary. It doesn't seem so long, but I've loved every moment of it, and I love him like mad. We already did the presents-thing... I brought him a QOTSA 'Lullabies to Paralyse' LP, and he brought me the NBC 'Oogies Revenge' PS2 game :D
He also brought me the Complete Adventures of Lano & Woodley (for no reason) last week, and the collectors edition of Advent Children, which is fabulous (my love for FF villians lives on!)

I'm sure theres more I could probably say, but I'm hungry. Off to cook dinner....

PS... Miss everyone heaps!

Happy Birthday to meeee.... Feb. 2nd, 2006 @ 10:37 am
Well.... its my birthday next weekend... damn 23...

Anyway, I had planned to have one of those "How To Host A Murder" affairs, but as usual I find I'm tragically unorganised. So, I will probably have something large - "Optional Fancy Dress" as always :D - one of the nights, and do family stuff the other.
If you want to come, let me know, so I can let you know which day and that nonsense. Or just try your luck and turn up one night. I'm sure no-one reads this thing anymore anyway.

Oh yeah, and I got the coolest birthday present from Ian, I'll post pictures when I take them :D

» At the risk of sounding Emo with all this damn poetry...
This is something I wrote for someone...

Descent

Screams of anguish filled her head
She thought that she’d be better dead
She thought about the times she bled
With no one there to save her

She thought her heart beyond repair
Cursed to wallow in despair
For something she could not prepare
Or protect herself against

A victim to the war of the heart
I watched her sanity depart
She truly is a work of art
There’s beauty past her sorrow

Somehow he has found a way
To save her soul from slow decay
To sweep the pain and past away
And save her from descent

» While I'm updating, a poem I wrote a little while ago...
The Oubliette

I closed my eyes as darkness came
A screaming vortex filled with shame
The Angels with the bleeding wings
Fall down to lament mournful things
Decision made in light of a tear
For what I’ve done is what I fear…

Angels showed me your silhouette
Forever in my Oubliette

I opened my eyes, an empty space
You left this world without a trace
You became my piteous pawn
To bring about a wretched dawn
I should not have let my self succumb
For I fear what I’ve become…

I'll lock you away so I can forget
Forever in my Oubliette

With each new day I feel the sting
I hear malevolent Angels sing
They smile to keep you by their breast
Away from me in deific rest
I scream at the sky to cease their song
A decision made is a decision wrong

I'll keep you where I can forget
Forever in my Oubliette

Forced by my nature, I have just
Done the things I thought I must
I’ve spiralled to insanity
I’ve been stripped of humanity
I’ve taken this curse into my soul
This anathema’s false extol…

Please take me too, so I can pay this debt
And remain with you in my Oubliette

» Hall of the Mountain King...
About a year and a half ago, I saw the last of a really great mix cd that I used to have, featuring a bunch of bands I was introduced to by Benny and the gang. I had all the songs on my pc, but because I mainly listened to the CD rather than my playlist, some of the songs had European names and because I didn't know them very well beforehand, I over time forgot the names and they became lost in the copious amount of music I have on my computer.

Today, [info]ravenjack reminded me of a song I really used to love, partially because the song it is based on and features as a solo is a personal favourite of mine.

Vintersorg - "For Kung Och Fosterland"

Själafränder, norden rungar
Vapenbröder vid Svea strand
Stridskamraters kamprop ljungar
För upphöjd kung och fosterland

Ett härnadståg svor ed
I tätt uppslutna led
Till den älda hembygdsprakt
Till moder jords omdrömda trakt

Från korpgudslärans borg
Och norrskenrikets horg
Trofasthetens frejd
Göts i bröst för strid och fejd

Med oblid eldsblick de betraktar
Hjältelandets offerbål
Den sammansvurna hären vaktar

Nu segervissa lag
Till taktfast trummas slag
Styr stolta Naglfar
På vikingsfärd de vreda drar
I djärva stormars fång
Fylld av tordönsång
Av forna gudar krönt
De, som ledsjärnan utrönt

När fiende fallit, varhelst de än finnes
Konungen kallar mannarna till
När norden omnämnes, smärta minnes
Ty bloddränkta bredsvärd är vårt sigill

Ett härnadståg svor ed
I tätt uppslutna led
Till den älda hembygdsprakt
Till moder jords omdrömda trakt

Från korpgudslärans borg
Och norrskenrikets horg
Trofasthetens frejd
Göts i bröst för strid och fejd

I really have no idea what it is translated into (expect of course that it is about the Hall of the Mountain King), but I adore it all the same.

I also listened to Fuck... I'm Deads "Army of Hermaphrodites" today, another great track lost in the abyss.

I wish I still had that CD... Takes me back to the good ol' days ;)

Got myself a pair of pink docs yesterday... ooooh yeah ;)
» Will you be my Destruction? Will you help me to be through?
After everything that has happened in the last week, most of my entries will be written in Friends-Only mode. Most of the important people should already be on my friends list.

I will probably take some people off my friends list today, but if you are for some reason not on there and think that you should be, leave me a message and I'll see what I think.

While I'm here though, I want to say a quick sorry to [info]thehoneyspider, [info]soulknotter and [info]killquinn (wherever you are dearest... its been a few years now and I know you don't get on here anymore, but I do miss you lots, and if you ever happen across here again, leave me a message and I'll contact you somehow) that I did not make it down to Melbourne - it would have been so great to see you guys again, and I guess that if me and him had gone down there all this bullshit would not have happened. Next toyfair is not for another year (!!!), but with some luck I can find another excuse to take off down there for a little while... maybe when I finally get my licence... anyway, I expect you to come and see me next time you're in Bega Craget, bring Trently and Dez up with you :D and Miss D, next time you and Reece come up to Sydney, let me know with a bit of notice and I will definately come up there and see you... I have a bit of a reason to get back to Sydney anyway... And also Miss D - in different circumstances I may have taken up your generalised 'offer' on your journal, oooh la la hun ;) haha you know you're gorgeous :D

And to [info]drumwench - I'm sorry I didn't call!!! I've had a bit going on lately and I wasn't really thinking right alot of the time I was here, but I so did want to see you... Bec said she saw you out and about and got really excited and rubbed it in lots *grrr*... anyway we will have to go out next time I come up, which at the moment looks like maybe June (COF Aaaaaand Mudvayne... wewties!)

Ooooh yes, and I also got a new mobile. Same number as before.

Over and out...

xx Air xx

Hey hey...

Does anyone have a spare lj code?? *looks and elbows [info]ttrin in the ribs?

I'm needing one for a friend.

More later

EDIT: My mobile phone was introduced to orange juice. Anyone wanting to contact me should know the other numbers to try, or just comment here. Until further notice...
» Ooooo-er!
Borrowed from [info]warlockuk's journal...

From Earthshaker-fest.net:
We’re proud to announce that the parts originally done by Orson Wells in the songs “Defender” as well as “Dark Avenger” will be performed from legendary actor Mr. Christopher Lee, who will not only perform on Saturday together with Manowar, but also on Friday together with Rhapsody, performing the song “The Magic Of The Wizard's Dream” from their album “The Dark Secret” live on stage ! Mr. Christopher Lee is known of his legendary appearances in over 223 films, such as: The Lord of the Rings (as Saruman the White) and Star Wars (as Count Dooku). Lee is committed to act as Count Dooku again in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode III, James Bond, The Man With the Golden Gun, The Three and Four Musketeers.

This performance is as of today unique in the career of Mr. Lee and will take place exclusively at THE EARTHSHAKER FEST.

Wish I could go and check it out - who would have thought, ey?

To those who care, I haven't done my test yet. Stupid computer/internet... Will keep you informed of my progress, because its so damn intriguing ;)
» Dang fooo...
I finished FFIX last night. It sort of confused me a bit: I hadn't been that far in the game for years, and I didn't realise I was so close to the end because I remembered heaps of sections of the game that I had not come across yet.

I checked at Cheat Code Central this morning, and the parts I specifically "remember" being in FFIX were actually from FFVII. So I feel quite the fool.

I was really looking forward to those parts. Im going to have to consult my old friend Ebay.

Morgs: I changed your pic on the site :)
» Oh, and I almost forgot to mention:
I don't know if everyone is aware of this, so I thought I'd let everyone know about...

.::Dimebag Darrel Tribute Shirts - $5.00 each::.

The legendary dime tribute shirts were created by Melbourne metaller and vocalist for BLOCK, Daniel McDougall, who is a screenprinter by trade. Due to the rediculous popularity of these shirts, Daniel has decided to continue printing. Shirts are going for $5 each, plus shipping (which is $2.50 per shirt if ordering multiple), and he is making no profit whatsoever on them.

~FRONT~

~BACK~

Please Note:
Shirts are available for other countries, changing 'Metal Heads of Australia' to the approriate country

Daniel will soon be selling these shirts on Ebay under seller name Katscoimpex, or you can purchase them directly from the site, which can be found at The Dime Shirt

I'm going to do a group order on Thursday, so anyone who is interested and local, get your money to me before then. For the price, and apparently the quality, every metalhead in Australia should be able to get one.

Daniel's one request for selling these shirts is that people take photos of groups wearing them, and send them to him so he can send them to Vinnie to show him that the people of Australia have him and his family in our hearts.

\m/\m/

Dezzy: Could you please pass this info over to Trent? I told him about them and he wants one :)

» RIP Nee the Happy Noodle Fish...
My siamese fighting fish died the other day :( He really was a nice fishy, and smart too. He perished of fright during a crazy thunderstorm because I forgot to take him off the windowsill...

I'll have a bit of a mourning period, and then I'll buy a blue and red one. I think I'll call him Nee Jr.

Not sure if I'm going to be able to afford to go to Alice Cooper - I really want to go but I have a few birthdays and I'm heading down to Melbourne early in April (Miss D, I want to catch up with you when I'm there! Missing you chicky). Also have to start thinking about what is going to happen when my lease runs out in May... good old me, leaving things to the last minute.

Well, Bec and Monie both have new jobs, and so I'm here babysitting Raven tonight. He's a good kiddo. I have a feeling I'll be here by myself more often, what with them both working nights and me working days. It will give me more opportunity to focus on the site, I'm far too easily distracted.

Proving my loser-dom, I'm sitting a test tomorrow to become an official Upper Deck Tournament Organiser. OOoooh yeah :p If anyone still reads this thing anymore, wish me luck.
» Retards At Large - we're back again
Yeah... Live Journal. I remember this - I used to come on here all the time...

Well guys, it has been far too long since I have had a chance to come on here. It's been a long 12 months or so, with many ups and downs, too much to say, some too painful to relive. That is not why I am here. Once again I hope to have a regularly updated journal, but the site we've all been waiting for (hah) is back.

Retards At Large - Welcome To The Playground
Aaaaaaaaaaaaand our forum, which I'm sure has the potential to rock the casbah, in time:
Retards At Large Forum

Theres still a heap of work to do on the site - many of its pages are still under construction, but if you get the chance to check it out, go to the Gig Vault. This is the place we have uploaded all of our band photos, including live performances, instore signings and public appearances. There is alot more to go up, but quite frankly the Gig Vault was the most important part as far as I'm concerned, so there you go.

The members section is not yet up, but I will be emailing alot of my friends when it is.

If you enjoy the site, please take the time to support us and sign the damn Guestbook :)

Until next time

.::Air::.
» ...still alive...
I thought I'd better make a quick update, to let people know I'm still alive. Sorry to all those who I haven't spoken to in a while, especially Miss D - Big hugs to you dearest, thanks so much for Schitzo! Sending you lots and lots of love, and can't wait until you come up here to visit me *hugs*

Been going through a pretty rough patch lately... haven't been online much, or doing much at all for that matter... all will be over soon, although I won't necessarily come back straight away - I need time to deal with everything, and in truth I really don't feel like talking about it. This is so insanely hard on me, but its one of those things that will get better if I deal with it myself, in my own way.

On another note, we got a cat today, pure black and named Felix. Raven adores her.

Moving in 2 weeks...
» Melbourne tomorrow!!
I got new shoes! Wewties!! They're just black skate shoes, but they're exactly what I wanted, so Im quite happy (would have been happier if black ones with pink trimmings were available though).

This is my last entry before I head down to Melbourne tomorrow morning, but I probably wont get a chance to check this or my emails until I get back on Monday or Tuesday, so if anyone needs to get a message to me, just send me a text message or call or something :)

Miss D, I'm bringing down a little gift for you :)))

One more sleep...
